  • How do you view your trauma? Are you able to view your pain from an objective point of view? Can you experience the negative aspects of the self without attaching an emotion to them? What would it mean for you to view the constructed self and negative experiences that have contributed to that construction in a way that is not detrimental to the mental well-being?

Healing is a journey through the levels of the layers of the self. The negative aspects of the self are there to be examined, deconstructed, and integrated. It becomes second nature to deny the self the opportunity to experience this process because it requires that one have the capacity to be radically honest and vulnerable with oneself.

  • What would it mean to face trauma without attaching an emotion to it? To be an active participant in this exploration with the detached emotional response of a spectator. To see the experience from a place of emotional resilience because there is a greater awareness to the emotional distance you have gained.

Traumas are deep rooted formations that some have found easier to disregard, or live with; possibly unaware of the ability for these formations to physically manifest themselves into acute or chronic illnesses which further decreases quality of life.

If and when one is able to examine their traumas, do so with the understanding that you are not the person you were when you first experienced this trauma. You have gained both emotional and physical distance from it, and can heal from a higher emotional and temporal level of autonomous mental and emotional self-control.
