A Quick Note on The "New Renaissance"...

If the production of art is a reaction or response to something, how can it be seen as the conjecture that leads to an increase of collective awareness during times of extremism and energetic upheaval?

How did the production of art and or the shift in the collective aesthetic support the process of collective uplift for the Black community? How did the production of art and aesthetics during the American Civil Rights Era, the period of Black Reconstruction, or the Harlem Renaissance effect and affect the masses at a grassroots level to work toward the progressive and worthy ideal we have the right to live today?

One of the issues, I see; historically, with creating change or galvanizing the masses is that the effort is not as collective as it seems. The political discourse of factions disparage some from engaging in the process and others to work against the worthy and progressive ideal of the collective society.

Therapeutic expressionism supports everyone finding a productive place in the process of resistance; using their voices and talents in innovative and revolutionary ways.

A collective of spectators but also of creators that see, experience, and add to the cultural collective in a way that supports the effort to engender a New Renaissance, where all are engaged by finding a creative talent, predisposition, or interest and expressing them in a way that supports the work of finding that worthy and progressive ideal, "a more perfect union".
